Essential puppy services. Expert help to get the basics right. Puppy Landing. For a happy start to life together.

Get the critical first 3 weeks right. Know exactly what to do when you first get through the door, sleep, toilet training and how to manage those needle puppy teeth!

So you have chosen your puppy (or they have chosen you) and now they are coming home…… HELP!!!

Having a new puppy is an exciting and amazing experience but it can also be stressful, tiring and full of worry if you are not entirely sure you are getting it right and things aren’t going quite to plan…. and they never do with puppies!

We take the worry away.

On hand with expert advice to carefully support you through those first critical 3 weeks, we help you all get a good night’s sleep, navigate toilet training and know how to keep those sharp little teeth focused on appropriate things, not your toes and home!

This means you can really enjoy the experience of having your new puppy.

You can start the programme within hours of you coming through the door with your new puppy – actually the sooner the better! But it is certainly best to make sure your welcome call is booked in for the first couple of days – this makes sure everyone sets off on the right track from the very beginning and will help you to prevent issues developing. And believe us when we say we KNOW prevention is much better than trying to unpick them later!

And then we will be there to support and help you navigate your way through the first 3 weeks.

What does our Puppy Landing programme help you with?

A little bit of everything you need, and because it is all one-to-one, we focus on the areas which are most important for you and your new puppy. Every puppy and family are different and so no two programmes are exactly the same – it’s what ensures they are so successful.

  • Toilet training
  • Night time routine and sleep
  • Chewing and playbiting
  • Home alone training and learning to settle
  • Playtime and enrichment activities
  • Introducing a harness and lead at home and preparing for first walks
  • Car travel – helping this to be a pleasant and fun experience
  • Advice on socialisation and habituation (helping pup to interact appropriately with people and other animals and to understand that there are things in their life that they can just ignore)
  • Learning to recognise body language and communication to help build trust and develop that very special relationship between you and your new puppy (and vice versa!)
  • Key training skills – how to get started with recall, greeting people politely, swapping and sharing and leaving things alone.
